Volunteer Opportunities at the Locust Valley Library

For Students in Grades 6-12

Teen Tutoring: Reading tutors are needed to assist children who visit us from the Grenville Baker Boys and Girls Club with their reading skills. Teens work one on one with a child assisting them with basic skills. Please contact Ms. Leslie for further information.

Community Club for Teens: Meets once a month on a Wednesday evening. Please contact Ms. Leslie for further information.

CATs (Council of Advisory Teens):  CATs helps make important – and fun! – decisions about the library.  Make your voice heard.  Meets once a month on Tuesday evenings.

Mission Statement:  Locust Valley Library CATs is committed to hearing the voices of every teen in the community.  CATs is determined to foster a safe, fun, and interesting environment, while making accessible relevant materials and programs for teens.

Tech Tutors:  Are you a tech savvy teen?  The library is in need of tech tutors to assist our adult patrons with common technology issues for devices like iPads and iPhones.  Scheduling is flexible.  Become a tech tutor today!

Please contact Ms. Leslie or Ms. Lauren at 671-1837 if you are interested in participating in any of these programs or for information pertaining to other volunteer opportunities.
